“Door Waiting to Close”

“Annnnnna, did you get the decorations?!” called Lily from downstairs.“Boo!’’, she jumped out to Lily, holding a bag of spider webs. Carefully, Lily took the cotton webs and opened the package. Down came Anna and the two friends went out into the frost night. Each and every pumpkin was carved, and all the lights were lit. Finally, it was time to hang the webs.“Great, we forgot the fog machine in the attic”, complained Anna. “Hang the webs and come back up with me.”
In they went to grab the machine.“Just don’t bother with the lights”, said Lily. “Keep up with me, it’s so haunted here!”Leaves rustled and the wind howled through the windows. “Made it”! No wonder you barely ever come up here, Lily, it’s horrifying.” “Oh, we should have kept the light on, I can’t see,” mumbled Lily.
Pathetic, thought Anna. Quickly, the door slammed shut behind them, creating to options to escape. “Really, it had to happen to us?” “So dark- and uninviting here”! , yelled Anna. Tough luck rose among the two girls. Under the pressure, hours and hours passed with no sign of anyone nearby. Very slowly, Anna and Lily managed crawl to the door and bang on it, with some hope of someone hearing their cries.
“Where are the girls?” the two hearing a familiar voice, Lily’s mom- bounced up after hours of waiting. Exclaiming girls, Lily and Anna rose up and called back, “We’re in here”! “Yes, they’re here”, said Lily’s mother.
Zooming over one another, Anna and Lily knocked the door open with the help of mother, only to find the door close again..
